WALLFORM Costings

As a building system, Beco WALLFORM is quick and practical to construct. With fewer components than would be required for traditional construction, it is also easier to organise and co-ordinate the building process.

In general, the cost of the materials package for the WALLFORM system and (ready-mixed) concrete would be more than for an equivalent masonry system for a single dwelling. The time and labour cost of construction would, however, be significantly less, resulting in a similar overall cost for a more comfortable building that will provide additional savings in running costs for the rest of its useful life.

For larger projects the economic benefit of the WALLFORM system becomes more pronounced - while maintaining the full performance benefits to the building owner. The client is able to invest more in the material quality of the building fabric rather than in the increasingly expensive labour cost to build it.

Depending upon specification, it is also unlikely that cavity wall ties, joist hangers and cavity flashings would be required, providing further cost savings. The WALLFORM support system may also be hired during the building phase, which is more economic than the expense of a normal scaffolding system.

For costings relative to a particular project, Beco Products offer a costing service. From dimensional plans we are able to give a cost for the supply of the Beco WALLFORM materials package, a quantity of concrete to fill the Wallblocks and a manhour estimate for building the structure. This data can be combined with the costs for the other parts of the build to give a comprehensive budget figure. We are also able to provide architectural and structural design services for the project.
